⚠️ WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ROYTON? ⚠️ Something seriously doesn’t feel right when almost an entire town is saying the same thing… yet nobody seems to be listening.
Residents are upset.
Business owners are worried.
Customers are avoiding the centre.
And the heart of Royton is slowly being pushed aside.
For years, local businesses have worked hard to survive — through rising costs, difficult times and endless pressure. We kept going because we believed in this town and its people.
Now we are watching roadworks, traffic chaos, safety railings removed and decisions being made that many local people simply do not support.
Placing a bus stop directly in front of businesses already struggling for visibility and access feels like another blow to the people who keep Royton alive.
This town is more than a transport project.
It is people’s livelihoods.
People’s futures.
People’s families.
When so many residents, customers and local traders are all saying the same thing, surely somebody should stop and listen before permanent damage is done.
Royton deserves better.
Local people deserve better.
And independent businesses deserve to be heard — not ignored.
