Born in Oakland in 1944, surrounded by a little controversy, and still one of the most iconic rum cocktails around.

At Navy Strength, the Mai Tai has a special place on our menu. Our take features house-made pecan orgeat, plenty of rum, and a few details we’ll keep behind the bar. 🤫

And apparently, you all agree, it’s our #1 best-selling cocktail.

We loved welcoming Tim “Swanky” Glazner and part of his team to Navy Strength as they kicked off their Pacific Northwest bookselling tour. Great drinks, great conversations, and the kind of evening that reminds us a bar can be so much more than a place to grab a cocktail.
