Midtown Swings offers weekly classes taught by some of the most New York's most esteemed swing dance professionals, our classes are fun, historically-grounded and accessible all dancers
LINDY 100 - BEGINNER SERIES,
6:30-7:30 Tuesdays
Brand new to swing? The 100-series rotates different 3 rhythms and you can start at the beginning of any month. 6-count, 8-count and charleston. LINDY 200 - BEGINNER + / INTERMEDIATE
7:30-8:30 Tuesdays
The 200-level class series is focused on social dancing. This class is aimed at students who have completed all three 100-series courses. Equivalent education from other Lindy Hop programs or social dance experience is also acceptable. LINDY 300 - INTERMEDIATE +
8:30-9:30 Tuesdays
The 300-level class series is geared towards experienced social dancers. This class focuses on presentation, tricky moves, and uptempo dancing. Students must be comfortable with social dancing at or above 220 BPM. SOCIAL DANCE
9:30-Midnight Tuesdays
Midtown Swings hosts our own regular DJ'ed Swing Dance party. No partner required, join us for a 2.5-hour dance with a FREE 30-min lesson, birthday jam and a fun, social atmosphere.
