Meet the Cast of The Laramie Project

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?

Sami Sallaway
I am proud of taking the steps toward a career change and taking classes to earn a Horticulture Certificate from the New York Botanical Gardens. I am excited to, someday, incorporate my passion for nature and gardening to contribute positively toward climate change and making someone's little world a little more beautiful.

Steve Macarus
I am extremely proud to have been fired, at the age of six, from my work as a runway model. Informed that "my personality was more memorable than the clothing I was supposed to be showing" my mother encouraged me to try acting. The rest is history.

Tracey Cassidy Altman
I'm grateful & proud to have met my husband through the SBP. And I'm so proud of him. I'm also thankful that I was a part of keeping our community together during the pandemic. We came out of that challenging time stronger than ever.

Meet the Cast of The Laramie Project

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your life?

Mack LeKnapp
I am immensely proud of the love that my spouse and I share, and the life we are building together. I'm also proud to live up to a challenge set for me by my grandfather: to leave every room cleaner and better off when I leave it than it was when I walked in. I think (most days anyway) I am thrilled to embody that spirit.

Melanie Gertzman
I am most proud of co-founding Bluelaces Theater Company right out of college. Bluelaces was a nonprofit theater company that produced immersive, multi-sensory theater for audiences with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our last production was in Jan/Feb 2020 with Lincoln Center right before the pandemic. I will always be grateful.

Michelle Papp
In my time as a foster for several rescue organizations throughout the city, I've had the rewarding experience of playing a part in finding forever homes for ten dogs (and one cat!), including two I kept for myself and can't imagine my life without.

Three-way tie: being Fran’s husband, being Deirdre’s father, and being Ellie’s grandfather.

Joe GGambino
That I've survived this long

Ken Altman
Marrying Tracey. She's the best person I know and has made me a better one.

Linda Megna Vega
I’m most proud of having an annual NYU award named after me in honor of the “excellence and dedication” I showed to the many students I advised. Over the years, the Linda Vega Award has been given to many deserving individuals, including Deans and Security Guards.

A proud moment of mine was realizing 6 months ago that the weird looking letter in the Disney logo was a "D" and not a backwards "G".
