Scottish country dancing, often abbreviated to SCD, is a form of social dance that involves couples in groups called sets. The couples typically stand facing each other in lines and trace progressive patterns that differ from dance to dance. There are fast dances (hornpipes, jigs, and reels), and slow dances (strathspeys).

Our last week of summer dancing featured Bratach Bana. We liked it so much we decided to dance it twice! We're off for the next few weeks, but join us on September 3 for a welcome-back Ceilidh. We'll also be dancing this Sunday in Carol Gardens at St. Paul's Episcopal Church from 300-5:00.
