About the Program
Supported by Simons Foundation International and administered by the Simons Foundation, this two-part grant program supports Main Street programs in identifying local science assets and planning science-related programming and activities around those assets.

By connecting the Main Street Approach and science engagement, this program will help your community take steps toward inspiring curiosity, joy, and pride in what makes your community unique, and toward attracting visitors through science-inspired programming and activities.

Applications are open for ’s 10th annual Idea Leap Grant Competition! TVFCU will award $300,000 across three regions, including a $50,000 first-place grant in each region.

Eligible for-profit businesses must:
- Operate within TVFCU’s 17-county service area.
- Have been operating and generating revenue for at least 12 months.
- Generate less than $2.5 million in annual revenue.
- Have 2–25 employees.
