So it’s Bank Holiday weekend and the sun is shining. It’s going to be lovely.
It’s also the start of a new adventure.
Nearly 3 years ago, with the support of my amazing wife, children, family and friends, I embarked on creating and opening my own bar - a life long dream after over 30 years in hospitality - while also having a full time “day job”. Yes it’s been pretty tough!
This week I finished the “day job” to focus 💯% on The Prep House LS26 - all in! making our family run business my No1 work priority.
The fact that we are still going, doing well and have established a fantastic little cocktail / rum bar on my local
high street fills me with joy. Doing with the support of my wife and children takes joy to pride ❤️ Knowing we have some absolutely amazing fans of what we do makes it all worth while too. Yeah we’re different, but that’s the point!
The industry is taking a kicking right now and it’s not going to be plain sailing, hence the need for full focus.
I intend to steer this ship in the best direction I can and continue to offer the best service and serves possible, creating a unique experience for our postcode.
It’s scary, it’s pressure, it make me feel a bit sick at times! But I am truly excited to be at the helm and to see what fun (and rum!) will be had as this next chapter begins.
Thank you to all who have popped by and supported us so far it really is appreciated. Here’s to many more. 🥃
