And just like that we are officially closed for business.
We want to thank everyone that has visited over the past 2 years, we've made some great memories and met some amazing people that we'll definitely be keeping in touch with.
We're sorry we didn't do a final farewell but the end stages all happened very quickly and after the previous sale fell through last minute we were very cautious.
We know a lot of people are gutted to see us close our doors but it was the right decision for our family and we are excited to begin this new chapter.
We're sure we'll see many of you around Wakey and we look forward to seeing what the new owners will do with the place

Here are the opening hours for El and I’s last fortnight at the providence. We are unfortunately shut today (Thursday 12th) as I am still ill. After the 21st The Providence will close for a couple of weeks before reopening as the new and improved Providence, just that we won’t be there.

Thanks again to all our loyal customers over the past 2 years and hope to see as many of you as possible over the next 10 days or so.

We'll start by saying a huge thank you to our loyal customers, but sadly Saturday 21st January will be the last time you'll see us (Mat and El) behind the bar.
As some of you are aware, over summer we experienced the death of our son during the final stage of pregnancy, and as a family run business our heart simply hasn't been in it since.
But don't worry, we're leaving the place in capable hands, the new owners have some exciting ideas for the future and we hope to join you on the other side of the bar!
But in the meantime take advantage of the bottomless brunch offer and stop by for a farewell drink🍹🍻🍾
