COZY NEIGHBOURHOOD COCKTAIL BAR

With Toronto Cocktail Festival starting this Sunday, we’ve been reflecting on our city’s hospitality community and the constellation of cocktail lovers and bartenders that we have been lucky to know. One such person is Knox Wong, a former Grey Tiger bartender whom many of you may remember from a few years back. Our current fall transition menu features a drink created by Knox—a rich and velvety number perfect for these crisp autumnal evenings.

Lead Bartender
Grey Tiger | Bloordale, Toronto
Compensation: $22.00/hour + pooled tips
Immediate start | 4 shifts/week

Grey Tiger is looking for a Lead Bartender to join our witchy, artist-run cocktail bar in Bloordale, Toronto. We’re a small team who support one another and care deeply about bar craft, hospitality, collaboration, and community.

This is a hybrid leadership role for a creative professional who’s equal parts host, mentor, organizer, and cocktail nerd. You’ll work the bar and the floor, as we all do, and help shape our beverage program, support our team, maintain service standards, and work closely with management on day-to-day operations.

We’re looking for someone who is:

* An experienced bartender with strong cocktail and spirits knowledge
* A natural host who enjoys connecting with and making space for people
* An effective mentor who’s also curious and open to learning
* Organized, dependable, and proactive
* Calm under pressure, emotionally mature, fair, and direct
* Passionate about creativity, community, and mindfulness

This role is an opportunity to grow as a leader, expand your craft, and help shape a bar program through collaborative R&D. If you’re looking for a place where your work has a meaningful impact on both the team and guest experience, we’d love to meet you.

It’s a bittersweet moment at Grey Tiger as we get ready to say goodbye to our Bar Manager, Anthony.

Anthony has been an incredible part of our team—someone who has a genuine gift for making people feel seen, welcome, and at home. He’s been a steady presence for our staff, beloved by our regulars, and has helped shape the kind of hospitality we strive for every day. We’re so grateful for everything he’s brought to the bar.

Anthony is heading into an exciting new chapter, and we’d love to send him off surrounded by the community and culture he’s helped us build over the past few years.

It’s our birthday weekend, so if you’ve been meaning to stop by, this is the perfect time. Come raise a glass with Anthony this weekend, or drop in anytime next week to wish him well.

As his final official act behind the bar, Anthony will be hosting a wh**ky tasting on October 3rd. There are still a couple of seats left if you’d like to join him for one last evening of stories, spirits, and excellent company.
