As we get closer to celebrating two years of Baan Mae, we can’t help but look back at where it all began.

Before Mom’s House, there was Hanumanh.

The beautiful artwork that still adorns our walls today was created by local artist and legend Henley , whose work brings to life the stories, folklore, and traditions that have inspired generations across Laos and Southeast Asia.

Together, and poured pieces of their childhood into this space, drawing from memories, culture, and the generations that came before them. What began as a tribute to Hanumanh, the Monkey God and a symbol of courage, loyalty, and perseverance— became the foundation upon which Baan Mae was built.

These murals are more than art. They are storytellers. They remind us where we come from, who we honor, and why we continue to do this work every day.

As we prepare to celebrate another year, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey, the memories, and the community that has embraced us along the way.

Thank you for being part of our story. ❤️

At Mom’s House, some of our most beloved dishes begin with a simple request.

Our newest highlight, Khanom Jeeb, was added after one of our regulars and bartenders—told Mom how much they missed it. Mom listened, just as she always does.

That’s always been the heart of Mom’s House. Whether it’s a dish from childhood or something you’ve been craving for years, Mom hears you.

So we made Khanom Jeeb for them. And now, we’re making it for you.

Come home and try it for yourself.

Today we celebrate Chef Seng, not just for the food she creates, but for everything she carries that most people never see.

Behind every dish, every event, every success, there is her steady presence: teaching, guiding, protecting, and making sure all of us have what we need. She is our mom, our matriarch, our safe place. The one who holds us together while asking for little in return.

Her work has always been bigger than food. Through her hands, stories are preserved, traditions are honored, and the Lao Food Movement continues to grow with integrity, pride, and heart. She has spent years creating space for heritage and culture to be seen, celebrated, and respected.

Today, we honor the woman behind the scenes whose impact reaches far beyond the kitchen. Thank you for your strength, your wisdom, your generosity, and your unwavering love.

Happy Birthday, . ❤️ We are who we are because of you.

Every day is Mother’s Day at Baan Mae.

For the mothers who quietly hold us together. The matriarchs who feed us before themselves, who cheer us on without asking for credit, who carry love in the smallest gestures.

Sometimes you may not notice them. But we do.

And we hope every mom who walks through our doors feels what they deserve to feel every single day: cherished, celebrated, and deeply at home.

Happy Mother’s Day to all Maes ♥️

Weekend lunch plans solved, moms. 💐✨

Our Yum Salad is a fresh take on a traditional Lao favorite — crisp iceberg wedge layered with rich Lao egg salad dressing, topped with crispy fried soft shell crab and crushed peanuts for the perfect crunch. Light, savory, refreshing, and just indulgent enough. 🦀🥬

Bring mom by this weekend and share something special around the table.

Available for dine in only 🤍 We have our regular a carte menu available alongside our Spring special features.
