We’re sitting Restaurant Week out. ❤️

With our limited capacity, we’ve decided to put our energy into something that feels meaningful: an “eat more invasive, reduce waste” menu.

We’re challenging our team to get creative with overlooked ingredients, invasive species, and what might otherwise go to waste—and turn them into something delicious.

Less waste. More creativity. More Mom’s way of cooking.

We hope you’ll join us for it. Aug 24- 30 exclusively at Baan Mae.

Starting August 24, Baan Mae is spotlighting Eat Invasive. 🌿🐟

We won’t be participating in Restaurant Week in the traditional sense, but we are bringing new dishes to the table that highlight our commitment to reducing waste in the kitchen—and eating more invasive Chesapeake blue catfish.

Come dine with us and taste what’s possible when we rethink the way we source, cook, and eat.

Dine-in only ♥️

Nothing goes to waste in Mom’s kitchen. 🌱

This month, we’re bringing back a few fun, nostalgic dishes inspired by the way Seng Luangrath has always cooked—making the most of what’s in season, using every part, and turning simple ingredients into something special.

Sustainable cooking doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it’s just the way you were taught to cook and what you utilize in the kitchen.

Come see what we’ve been dreaming up. A little nostalgia, a lot of flavor, and absolutely nothing wasted. ❤️

Traditionally, in Lao homes, meals are eaten with your hands, lovingly making wraps for the people gathered around the table.

This season at Baan Mae, we’re celebrating that tradition with our seasonal Pun, including a special Rainbow Trout Pun Paa alongside our classic preparation.

Bring the whole family, build your own wraps, and experience one of Laos’ most cherished communal dishes.

Available for a limited time.

A sandwich can hold a lot of memories. ❤️

For Chef Seng Luangrath, the Filet-O-Fish was never just a fast-food favorite, it was a symbol of a new beginning.

After arriving in America as a refugee, taking her family to McDonald’s whenever they could was a special treat. It wasn’t just a meal out; it was a small way of embracing a new culture, creating memories, and feeling a little more American.

Today, Chef Seng’s Fi-Lao O’Fish honors that nostalgia while telling a story all her own. A Lao-inspired twist featuring blue catfish, an invasive species, paired with the bright, bold flavors of Lao condiments including jeow som a sweet and sour chile lime sauce made with fresh chiles, garlic, cilantro, fish sauce, and lime. She also has a smoky version featuring jeow b**g, Lao preserved chili paste made with a vegan mayo made of tofu. A recipe she learned from her oldest son, Chef Boby Pradachith

The sandwich has gone through many iterations, but its soul remains the same: comfort, connection, and a reminder that food has the power to tell our stories.

It’s not fast food.
It’s comfort food.
It’s a memory, reimagined. ❤️

Because it’s such a favorite, it’s coming back on the menu. Don’t miss your chance to try it before the Summer ends.
