For the mothers who quietly hold us together. The matriarchs who feed us before themselves, who cheer us on without asking for credit, who carry love in the smallest gestures.

Sometimes you may not notice them. But we do.

And we hope every mom who walks through our doors feels what they deserve to feel every single day: cherished, celebrated, and deeply at home.

And she’s ready to cook for everyone. Come by this week for a special feature of soft shell crab. 🦀 Right on time to celebrate Mom 🌺

We have Puu Nim - crispy soft shell crab in a decadent red coconut curry and Mee Sua - soft shell crab garlic butter noodles with crab fat.

Every day is Mother’s Day at mom’s house.

Ever wonder why our rice is blue?

It all comes down to one special ingredient: Bok Anchan (butterfly pea flower).

Our Anchan rice gets its stunning natural indigo hue from rice gently cooked in water infused with these vibrant blossoms, a tradition found across Southeast Asia, especially Thailand and Malaysia.

The result is a subtly earthy, fragrant rice that’s as beautiful as it is comforting often paired with rich coconut milk for the perfect balance of color, aroma, and flavor.

At Baan Mae, SEA New Year in early April starts the way mom always does; by cooking for everyone.

Across Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka, this season is about starting fresh, gathering close, and sharing what we have. For us, that means a full kitchen, familiar flavors, and a table that’s always open. Welcome to SEA New Year aka “Pii Mai” in Lao.

We’re serving up festival favorites alongside some new dishes we’re really excited about. Come celebrate with us, there’s always room for you.
