This one tells the tale of a great team from the Summer of 2011, in which the mighty Japan took down the US in a historic penalty shootout win at the World Cup in Germany. It uses Japanese gin or vodka, Oka Kura Yuzu Liqueur, Sake and lemon zest, served with a German pretzel bite.

These are stills from our first-ever zine at our pop up at Kona’s last year for the National Women's Soccer League Championship Weekend in the Bay Area, California and we are so excited to be bringing you Volume 6 this October 10 for our Bay Leaf Bar Crawl!

Volume 6 will feature some great oldies, some new stories, and a whole lot of fun as we journey through Navy Yard celebrating women in sports and entrepreneurship! Which stories will we tell?

Happy game day Spirit Fam! Today we’re highlighting on of our longest partners and features for our upcoming Bar Crawl, Catoctin Creek Distilling and their newest release, the Shenandoah Gin with flavors of Paw Paw and Strawberry!

Catoctin Creek, located in Purcellville, Virginia, was founded in 2009 and has grown to be the home of the most awarded spirit in Virginia: their Roundstone Rye. Becky Harris is one of their founders and their Chief Distiller since they opened. A chemical engineer by trade, she uses only the finest local and organic grains and fruit to create delicious and clean spirits, and received the Legacy Achievement Award in 2023 from Bourbon Women in Louisville, Kentucky for her lifetime of work to create great spirits and pave a way for other women in the industry to grow with her.

We’ll be featuring their Shenandoah Gin in one of our original cocktails, the Ode to Washington Spirit. The Spirit cocktail was designed in honor of their last Championship Run in 2021, and has been around through a few of our pop up menus throughout the years, and so we’re excited to bring it back for this event! It has Catoctin Creek Shenandoah Gin, St. Germaine Elderflower, Rose Water, Raspberry, Lime Nuun Electrolytes and Prosecco, topped with rose petals to give the Spirits all of their flowers.

We’re super excited to release the full menu for Sunday for our End of Season Party! All of our fan favorites with the last of the infusions we have in house. If you came to the first one in 2021, first off, THANK YOU! We are so lucky to still have you here! And secondly, you’ll remember to come early because we’re running with a limited amount of everything!

We’ll have the Spirit vs Legacy on at 1 pm, the FIBA Finals on at 2 pm and the Thorns vs Stars game at 7 pm. Full food menu available thanks to the kitchen at Town Tavern.
