Jack is a choreographer and teacher from Denver, Colorado. In 2005 he started training hip hop dance with local teachers from companies and studios like Motion Underground and Break EFX. In college, he began co-directing Hype 303/ Academy of Raw under founder Sean Murley. Furthermore, he competed at competitions like Set It Off (Las Vegas) and World of Dance (Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta). Additionally, he specializes in the street style of Waacking and learned from dancers like Jee Wee Kalua, Kumari Suraj, and Archie Burnette to name a few. Jack currently teaches Waacking at in Oakland. He is excited to learn and share with the Bay Area dance community.

Competing this Friday: Chris Alcanices! Beginning his dance journey back in '08, Chris has danced and learned more about life, people, and himself than he ever thought possible. Dance will always be a form of therapy as well as a way to creatively express and connect to the world. To him, one of the best things about dance is watching people pour their hearts out on stage. To express personal feeling of any kind through dance, and to have that resonate with people is truly astonishing and a blessing.
