We Vietnamese love the Lunar New Year. We look forward to getting gifts of red envelopes 🧧 and co***ne bricks of
Banh Tet/Banh Chung. The labor intensive Vietnamese equivalent of a tamale 🫔 .

Sticky rice 🌾 stuffed with mung beans and pork 🐖 belly. Seasoned with fish sauce, shallots, and black peppercorn. Wrapped in banana leaf and boiled for buddha knows how long. Till the rice is soft and sticky and the pork is melted into the mung beans.

she work so hard to make it and all I do is slice it and mash it on a griddle. Fry that mother. Crispy, for yall.
