{LINK IN COMMENTS} - "In the beginning was the rhythm".... and for over a generation, q***r men from New York to São Paulo, LA to Miami, and beyond have gravitated to the galloping rhythms of tribal house. Whether it takes the form of the vocal, trance-infused and pumped-up "circuit" sound - or a darker, lower key, and more after-hours vibe, its staying power in the community speaks for itself.

"Awakening" is a set I wanted to make that explores the tribal beat through my own lens and acts as a bit of a love letter to our community's history with it. Similar to my "Defiant Love" set for Pride this year, several eras and styles of tribal music are acknowledged within, while still being blended and looped in with tech house and techno beats. While tribal has never been front and center to my style, this set is an identifiably Vescovo journey that nods to the Latin, circuit, after hours and classic house angles, and it's anchored by several of my own edits and mashups. I hope you enjoy!
