Skaalvenn Distillery Our goal is to make the finest spirits in Minnesota--at a price everyone can afford. Skål Venn! / 10-19-2020 - Our Japanese inspired cocktail bar is now open.

Please try to make a reservation before stopping in--we naturally have extremely limited seating, and we would hate to turn you away due to being at capacity. Our spirits are distributed to over 400 locations across Minnesota. If your local store does not carry the product you want, please ask them--they'll typically gladly start carrying it for you.

As an owner who's immune compromised who can't be in the bar this time of year, it's very important that I still make sure our hot dogs are always of the highest quality. Today I QA tested The Japan Dog--and it's damn good as always 🤟😇

Our Halloween decorations are up now! It's still our regular menu, but we'll have some special Halloween drinks for the last three days of the month and it's going to be fun!

I SCREWED UP! But it's in your favor--so this weekend only all hotdogs are 50% off! Make a reservation (we've been crazy busy) and enjoy some great gourmet dogs, and we happen to have cocktails too.

Heck, you can get a Japanese style highball and a classic dog for only $13.25 total!

It's always fun when all of us, with decades and decades of combined hospitality experience can say "well, that's a new one!"

Last night a customer was heading out and I (Tyson) heard the sound of glass hitting the floor. I grabbed a broom & Trygve quickly took out of my hands...but when I turned around I saw Trygve and Mary squatting down and taking pictures of the broken glass...that's odd, we've broken a hundred glasses and I've never seen this.

So I go to see what's going on and the broken glass was the customer's personal jar....full of f***s! 😂😂

The thing all of us love about working here is just how awesome people are. Since we opened almost 6 years ago, we've never had one single negative incident. Not one person has been banned, kicked out, gotten into a fight, gotten ill, caused trouble...nothing!

Somewhere well over 50,000 customers and the only "issue" was the one time a customer ran out without paying a bill, but it made for a hilarious situation that Chase would love to tell you about if you ask him.

YOU are all awesome!

This Sunday, September 9th from 1-3 Our bartender, Luke Young is giving a class on his favorite spirit, rum! (Tickets on Tock, link in bio)

You'll get a short history presentation on rum and terroir that influences why certain rums taste the way they do while trying a curated selection of rums. Luke has lived a large portion of his life in Cambodia where he worked in bars and learned an intense appreciation for rums and tropical drinks.

You'll get to taste 6 different rums and learn about what sets them apart from each other. You'll taste a Skaalvenn aged rum, a Skaalvenn blackstrap rum, as well as a Skaalvenn spiced rum, Skaalvenn habanero rum and two other unique rums.

Luke will teach you how to make two classic rum cocktails: a daiqiuri and a country life, one shaken, one stirred.

You'll get to take home recipe cards and a bottle of Skaalvenn white rum.

Only 7 tickets are left. $65 each (each ticket includes a bottle of Skaalvenn White Rum or Skaalvenn Habanero Rum)

We've got another banger that just hit the menu--"The Outcast of Brooklyn Park"

It's a Tiki cocktail that's available all weekend long! Made with Skaalvenn Aquavit, pilancio, ginger syrup, almond orgeat, herbsaint, cinnamon, ginger b**r, and lime.

It's incredibly flavorful, like a daiquiri with a little absinthe (one of Tyson's favorite cocktails) only with SO MUCH more depth!

The Corvo Bianco CPT, it's been a VERY popular cocktail here at Skaalvenn Distillery, and it's about to go out like the vapors to make room for another banger of a cocktail.

It's a cocktail designed by a nerd Chase Heck , for nerds, but it's also won over plenty of people who've never watched/read/played what inspired it, The Witcher.

We're in the last weekend of it on the menu! Get it before it's gone!
