We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Guinness Open Gate Brewery, right here in Covent Garden, and what an experience. 🍻

Greeted with a Guinness shot on arrival (the perfect welcome), we were taken on a journey through centuries of brewing history. The brewery stands on the site of Combe & Co., an 18th-century brewing powerhouse that was at the centre of Covent Garden’s booming porter district, a revolution that played an integral role in the Guinness story as we know it today.

From the immersive tour of the brewing factory to learning the craft behind their range of IPAs, every detail was thoughtfully brought to life. And to top it all off? We got to pour our own Guinness at the end. 🙌

A huge thank you to the team for having us, we left inspired, informed, and maybe just a little full of Guinness. We’ll be back! 👏

A huge congratulations to Jack Watson, our GM at Cahoots, who completed his second London Marathon! 🏃🎉

Jack ran in support of Kelly’s Cause Foundation, our mental health partner and a truly incredible organisation. Kelly’s Cause provides tools and training to help hospitality businesses better support mental health in the workplace, and it’s work we’re incredibly proud to champion.

Every pound Jack raised will help subsidise this vital training for businesses that might not otherwise be able to access it. We couldn’t be prouder, Jack, an amazing achievement for an amazing cause. 👏

Our annual IG Cocktail Competition is LIVE and Stage One starts right now at your venue. Hourly staff, this is your moment to represent your team, unleash your creativity, and tell your story through a signature serve.

Here’s what you need to create:
🍸 An Inception Group Contemporary Classic Remix - a fresh, modern twist on an approved classic cocktail, featuring one portfolio base spirit
🥤 A Non-Alcoholic version of your cocktail

Judging at this stage is all about flavour, this means balance, taste, and quality. Every detail counts, from your garnish and glassware to the story behind your drink.

A few things to keep in mind:
✅ All ingredients must come from approved suppliers, keep it realistic and cost it accurately
✅ Save your recipe!
✅ Chat with your manager if you’d like to take part

As a part of our International Women’s Day activity, we were proud to shine a light on our partnership with The Eve Appeal, a charity doing vital work in gynaecological cancer research and awareness. 💛

We hosted a Lunch & Learn session for our salaried team at Mr Fogg’s Botanical Tavern, where the brilliant Karen Hobbs from The Eve Appeal spoke about the signs and symptoms of gynae cancers, the charity’s incredible work, and how we can all play a role in supporting the women in our lives.

It was an afternoon that was equal parts informative and inspiring and a reminder of why this partnership means so much to us.
From 1st April, we’re taking action. A discretionary £1 will be added to all bills over £25 across our venues throughout April, with every penny going directly to The Eve Appeal. We can’t wait to see what we raise together. 🌷
