The Hardmatter crew returns to The Waiting Room for another installment of Late Sessions this Saturday, with a very special guest: Soundstream.

It’s been nearly three years since the legendary producer and DJ last played in London, and his return feels long overdue. Known for timeless releases and as the mind behind countless disco-house classics, Soundstream’s unmistakable sound continues to resonate across dance floors worldwide. His sets move effortlessly between deep house, disco, and groove-heavy rarities, always rooted in rhythm, always built for the dance floor.

Joining him at the controls will be Hardmatter residents JVXTA and Zapata, setting the tone and keeping the energy flowing late into the session.

Spawned in the era of warehouse raves the seminal band The Sabres of Paradise, along with the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Leftfield were lauded as the true pioneers of a new wave of dance / electronica taking over the clubs and eventually the airwaves.

Formed in 1992 The Sabres of Paradise, originally a studio partnership of Andrew Weatherall, Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns, were prolific working with and remixing the artists of the day including Bjork, Leftfield and New Order before signing to the iconic Warp Records to concentrate on their own sound.

You want indie? We got indie! Three amazing bands for the price of three as Club Precious returns to the Waiting Room.

A potent mix schrammelig post-punk and indiepop, Jetstream Pony are leading lights of the UK indie scene featuring an array of well-known faces, including Beth Arzy (The Luxembourg Signal/Trembling Blue Stars) and Shaun Charman (The Wedding Present/The Popguns).

Down from Hartlepool for an all-too-rare appearance in London are the very wonderful Mt. Misery. Drawing on the harmonies of the West Coast – that’s the West Coast of America and Scotland, naturally – their Byrdsian Fanclub sounds will make you swoon via a glorious of jangletastic songs from a catalogue featuring their most recent album Love In Mind.

Chicago’s Humdrum make melodic indiepop that blends shimmering pop hooks with soft, lovelorn vocals. Wrapped in driving beats and jangly guitars, their music carries nostalgic nods to REM, the Field Mice, the Jesus and Mary Chain and New Order.
