THE PEOPLE PILE are a tribe of creative movement enthusiasts who thrive on challenging social spaces. With elaborate costume design, and alternative concepts their otherworldly laughable experiences awaken people into full body imagination realities. With roughly 30 performers and collaborators on The Pile, they are passionate about sharing dance with new and un-suspecting audienc
es. Since 2010 they have been building a multi-creative culture. Their penchant for performance and flare to dance in alternative spaces, allows them to be adaptable and thoughtful to new environments. THE PEOPLE PILE create dance experiences which ignite artful play and encourage freedom within conventional situations. Their walkabout performances combine detailed technical dances wrapped in bizarre and engaging concepts, they interact with people, jumping between impressive formations, humorous moments, energetic movements, and human interactions. The People Pile encourage alternative communication, showing, sharing, and stirring the people and spaces they encounter.

EVENTS
The Studio Event; a site specific performance event, which involved 60 performers, a 4 storey building, 17 spaces and a gorgeous audience of 250 people. Generous support was given by London Studio Centre- Sep 2011. The Pile On; a site specific dance performance platform, show casing new work by The People Pile and other guest artists, previous Pile Ons have been held at the Hackney Downs Studios, The Arch Gallery, and The Hackney Cut.
