Located on Fogmore Street (underneath the Banksy on Park st) it was known formerly as the Mandrake. The club is laid out over one level ,and, as the name suggests was originally used as cellars and Basements for the town houses on Unity street. For those that frequented the Mandrake at any point over the last 40 plus years that it has been open, you will have no doubt been struck, as we have by t

he character of the buildings and fantastic layout of the club. We have fully updated the fixtures and fittings (particularly the toilets) as part of a thorough refurbishment. We have also updated the bars, DJ Booths, dance floors, seating and entrance way. Basement 45 has a capacity of around 300 and has 2 bars and 2 dance floors. Basement 45 is bringing the summer heat with a 3-part June event series showcasing a different side of Bristol’s underground music community each time!

For the final installment on June 19th, we’ve invited 5 of the city’s favourite up-and-coming hard dance DJs to rip up the dancefloor. Expect pounding techno, hardcore, bounce, and some even spicier treats towards the end!

For our second edtion on June 12th, this wicked lineup of DJs will be spinning jungle, breakbeat, and hardcore rave flavours. Expect an oldskool rave education, with every selection curated to move the dancefloor as one.
