Meet your DJs for June: HAZEL 🤸‍♀️

has been dj’ing for dancers since 2011 and in that time earned herself a reputation for being the wildcard choice. Her love of challenging what we think of as danceable is underpinned by a wealth of exploration into the link between rhythm, musical structure and joyful human movement. Just one week 'til our next party!

Come join us for an all-levels fusion dance workshop from Siân, followed by three hours of social dancing 🥳

Fusion is partner dancing, without the baggage. We're not here to stick to a rigid set of steps, but to actually dance with another person to good music on a night out. Come alone, come with friends, dip in a toe or plunge in the deep end. However you want to party, we're here for it.

Beginners are ALWAYS welcome - we can't wait to dance with you! 💜

cooper101 has performed at fusion festivals across Europe and America with the Battery Powered Blues Band, and was one of the main DJs for Disco Ball, the now-legendary series of extremely hecking punk-yet-wholesome underground dance parties thrown in and around Bristol! 🔬 Hosting at Microscope 🔬

The fusion scene has a long held tradition of hosting, where local dancers offer sleeping space and a temporary dance-weekend home to visiting dancers. We think this is a really lovely element of our scene and culture, and we want to help make it happen for Microscope 2026!

If you’re coming from out-of-town for Microscope, you can let us know if you’d like hosting when you register.

If you’re a Bristol babe, you can let us know about any spare sleeping spots you have when you register too! Guest rooms and private spaces are great, but there’s also a lot of joy to be found in the ‘how many fusion dancers can I fit on my living room floor?’ game, and we can team up as a community to share airbeds, sleeping mats, bedding and the likes.

Whether you’d like to offer or receive hosting, you must register and let us know by 1st AUGUST ☀️

Meet your DJs for June: COREN 🧡

is a cross-genre artist, curator, and DJ, known for their irresistible energy and commitment to the colour orange. They fell in love with fusion dance a couple of years ago, and with fusion DJing swiftly after that. Their love for all flavours of dance shines through in sets that hold space for joy, release, and nervous system regulation. Expect anything and everything, from butt shaking to cry dancing.

🔬What is Microscope? 🔬

Lauren and Siân from Microscope HQ are here to tell you all about it! 🛋️

Microscope is Bristol’s smallest fusion event - a whole weekend dedicated to micro fusion, the tiniest of partner dances.

Micro from the outside can often look like a wiggly hug - but inside the dance embrace, all sorts of cool things might be happening. Isolations, undulations, weight shifts, and more!

We love micro, and we’re super excited to bring you the fourth edition of Microscope this October.

📢📢 Microscope tickets go on sale sooooon! 📢📢

Bristol’s tiniest fusion weekend is back! Join us for Microscope, 2nd -4th October 2026. It’s a full Kaleidoscope weekender, dedicated to micro fusion.

📍 Bristol babes can register Sunday 31st May, 6pm
Spots are limited, so we’re giving anyone based within 50 miles of Bristol a head start. We’re taking postcodes to verify if this is you.

🌍 Everyone else can register Sunday 7th June, 6pm
After a week, we’ll open tickets to the rest of the world! All registration times are Bristol time zone.

🎟️ Sliding scale ticket prices
As always, we’ve got a sliding scale for our ticket prices. Please choose the option that suits you best, and support your community if you can. We can only afford the lower income tickets if people who can afford it buy the higher income tickets.

✨ Meet your teacher for June - SIÂN ✨

Siân has never met a dancefloor that didn't make her want to move. After falling in love with partnered dancing through blues, she heard the siren call of fusion mid-pandemic and decided to do something about it - and so Kaleidoscope was born. Siân's dancing blends deep connection with attitude and she is currently trying to teach the rest of her body to dance as hard as her hips.

Siân will be teaching a workshop all about isolations at our next party. Come dance with us - beginners are welcome! 💜
