Our entry into this yearโ€™s Elijah Craig Old Fashioned Week competition pays tribute to โ€œThe Father of Bourbonโ€ and the roots of American wh***ey.
At its heart is a blend of Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon and Elijah Craig Straight Rye, bringing bourbonโ€™s rounded sweetness together with ryeโ€™s distinctive spice.
Our homemade black peppercorn cola syrup adds a familiar American flavour with a warming peppery edge. Cherry bitters bring a fruity depth, while cherry wood smoke completes the serve with an aromatic finish.
Warm, zesty and spicy โ€” our own expression of a classic Old Fashioned.
Old Fashioned Week runs from 9โ€“18 October. For every Old Fashioned sold, Elijah Craig will donate ยฃ1 to Hospitality Action, supporting hospitality workersโ€™ mental health.
Come and try our competition entry, Father of allโ€ฆ

No stage spectacle. No grand theatre.
Just good music, very good drinks and things happening at your table that, frankly, shouldnโ€™t be possible.
See you in The Library.

Floral, aromatic and quietly complex, with enough citrus to keep everything suitably well behaved.
Finished with fresh blueberries and served straight up.
Elegant in appearance. Rather less innocent in practice.
One of a considerable number of new drinks weโ€™ve been keeping under wraps.

To celebrate the opening of ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘จ๐’“๐’„๐’‰๐’Š๐’—๐’†, our new downstairs cocktail lounge hidden beneath the bookcase, weโ€™ve joined forces with Witchmark Distillery for an evening dedicated to creativity, craftsmanship, and great drinks.

Inspired by Witchmarkโ€™s philosophy of Stone โ€ข Soil โ€ข Spirit, competitors will be challenged to create a drink that tells a story โ€” of place, people, passion and purpose.
Expect exceptional cocktails, industry talent, great company and a few surprises along the way.
Whether youโ€™re behind the bar, in the trade, or simply appreciate a well-made drink, this is one not to miss.
