What oddities or memorabilia did you keep from Aber? Weird, mundane, sentimental… anything!

We just kept a load of tickets, cards (Sporty Card anyone?) some receipts and a bucketload of lecture notes 😅

Ok, we had PlayStations, but surely there were high jinx too? Corridor cricket in first year, which eventually turned into kitchen cricket in PJM was a cracker!

Does anyone know the history of this distinctive campus icon (we could Google it but that’s too easy!)? We have a feeling that it splits opinion, so which side are you on, do you love it or think it’s a brutalist eyesore? 😅

The page has grown a fair bit recently, so if you’re new here, this is what we’re doing.

On Saturday 17th October, we’re heading back to Aberystwyth Students’ Union for Aber Forever — an over-30s reunion night for former Aber students.

A precious Saturday night back in Aber with your old mates, a few drinks in town, then back to the Union with Aber legend, Eddy Scissorhands, on the decks.

These are a few shots from the last one (unashamedly blurry and non-AI!) This October, we’re doing it again.

WHICH TAKEAWAY?

Feels kinda appropriate for a Saturday morning! After a night out which Aber takeaway was the place to take the edge off the drinks for you?

For us Istanbul ruled the roost. Chicken burger and chips… Hollywood pizza in recent times! And what about the ones we’ve lost? Anyone remember Marmaris?
