Here is the schedule for Ghibli weekend! Friday is going to be more laid back and sensory and introvert friendly, with a focus on crafts, gentle music, and a scavenger hunt. Make your own soot sprites, totoro planters (and plant seeds!) or make a wish on a paper bird. The wizard's door will lead to a gentler ASMR style experience.

Saturday, on the other hand, is going to be a noisy and fun experience for my heathens -- come play games like Deliver Kiki's Package and Free the River God, strut your stuff on the costume runway (Prizes for costume contest and trivia winners!) and the Wizard's Door will lead to a place a little more intense and weird.

We can't wait to see you!

YCC's next themed event is one beloved to basically every person who has eyes -- a celebration of some of the best animated films in history. Full schedule to be released, but come dress up as your favorite character, play games like package delivery, complete an elaborate scavenger hunt, and visit the wizard's secret room. Full schedule of games and events drops later this week but mostly we can't wait to transport you out of the world outside and into a world where magic is still possible and love is still the primary principle.

Get out your big red sharpie to mark off your calendar and start hitting the thrift to assemble your costume, because our next themed night is an ode to the most beloved of all Japanese children's animation -- we all know it, we all love it. This is going to be a weekend long extravaganza with costume contests and trivia, enormous prize packs, trivia, a totally redecorated bar and photo booth, and murder closet rebranded as a certain wizard's door that opens to many different worlds. Many more details to come and a schedule to be released so you can pick and choose the parts that are most important to you-- we can't wait to see you there!

There's a cherished outfit in the back of your closet that's been calling to you, but the right opportunity to debut it never seems to appear... We are pleased to announce that the opportunity is coming this Friday, September 18th! Join us at Ypsi Cocktail Club for a Nowhere to Wear Party!

This time there will be a fun twist... We'll be on the lookout for a variety of categories, genres, and accessories to fill out the Fashion Bingo Card. The categories are a secret, but every Bingo will result in fun prizes so don't hold back! If we manage to fill out the whole board, the ENTIRE BAR will get a treat! See you Friday!
