We are deeply saddened by the destruction of the snow sculpture titled “Call To Arms” from this year’s WSSC. A beautiful message from Team House of Thune written in ASL.

The first link below is a write up on the sculpture and I hope you can take a moment to hear more about it. At the end they share a link for the Go Fund Me to have Call to Arms sculpted permanently in iron here in MN!

Adoption for our spider plant babies now available!

Many of my wonderful spiders are ready to leave the nest and join new families! Fun fact, all of my babies have grown from one parent plant I purchased for my mother when we moved to Minnesota over 5years ago! We gave them years of laughter, love and music and all we are asking is for their new homes to do the same🍀 This is the first time I am willing to separate with so many, truth be told, this is more of a fundraiser for the Basement than anything else.

We are asking for $5 per baby, you are welcome to donate more to the cause, all donations go to the Basement to help us continue doing what we love through the winter, supporting the community, providing a warm atmosphere and of course treats and caffeine🥰 This Plant Adoption Drive will be every Monday-Wednesday from open to close until all our babies are newly homed!

If you don’t have a green thumb do not worry! I will give you great/simple advice/tips to ensure even you have a plant that will thrive. I’m here to answer any questions or concerns that might arise.

We truly appreciate you all and hope you all the best holidays coming into this new year 💚🙌🧋 much love from us here at the Basement!
-Matt
