Bollywood Club Invasion fundraiser -- Santa Fe’s best dance party -- will be held at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 6:30 pm until midnight. The Santa Fe Community Convention Center is located at 201 W. Marcy Street, with its gracious ambiance in the heart of Santa Fe just off the plaza. ure its signature Bollywood-inspired live DJ mixes, dancing and vibrant entertainment. Celebrated local favorite DJ Dynamite Sol will once again be joined by DJ’s Shobanon and Aztech Sol, and will fill the evening with one-of-a-kind eastern and western dance rhythms. Agramzu’s dazzling multi- media display featuring Bollywood dance videos, adds inspiration and fun on the dance floor. Carlos Martinez will offer a free Bollywood dance class at 7:00 pm, followed by a Bollywood-themed Dance performance by Myra Krien and the Mosaic Dancers at 7:30, who will continue to offer impromptu performances throughout the evening.
“This annual Bollywood Club Invasion Dance Party is a cool dynamic for a community event,” said DJ Dynamite Sol in a recent interview. “This is a great cause. The whole idea to raise money for people in need that also allows me to rock a party... I’m always down for that. This is one of my favorite events of the year.”
Guests have access to a variety of fun and family-friendly activities including a colorful India- inspired clothing bazaar, astrology and tarot readings and hand henna tattoos. There will also be a plentiful array of sumptuous food catered by award-winning local restaurant, Jambo Cafe, including desserts and traditional Indian chai. Parking is available for Bollywood, all evening at the Municipal Garage, 119 South Federal St. Located just a few blocks from the plaza, with 13 disabled spaces and 1 electric car charging station. Rates: $6 for the evening from 4:00 pm, until Midnight. There is plenty of street parking space around the venue from 6:00 pm. Proceeds will benefit multiple Amma Center of New Mexico local relief initiatives, including The Burrito Project which offers free vegetarian meals to more than 108 homeless or needy individuals in Santa Fe every Sunday. The Burrito Project has prepared and served over 110,000 burrito lunches since 1996, in addition to sponsoring and preparing meals for St. Elizabeth’s and Casa la Familia shelters.
