In the past only devastating tragedy has united New York. Last night we were united by triumph. Basketball is just a game but the joy and togetherness we felt after the final buzzer was a spiritual miracle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on this magical run.

Thank you to the New York Knicks who sacrificed and put the team goals first to be greater than the sum of their parts. Thank you for showing us what it means to be a champion.

Thank you for being the best of New York and bringing out the best in New York.

Also to the honorable Mr. Dolan, if you’re reading this, The Knickerbocker would look great in a ticker tape boat parade sailing from Cooper Bluff to the sunset club at tappen beach . Maybe we can pull up on the beach for some oysters and refreshing dole whip at thesandboxtrpark on the way. You supply the boat and the best basketball team in the world and we will take care of the Lobster rolls and rocket fuels.

Newsflash people… this championship run is the good old days. This is the greatest sporting event in New York history. Your children’s children will talk about ‘the tip’ and the iconic 2026 New York Knicks that dominated the hardwood. This is bigger than sports. This is a cultural event. This is New York.

FRIDAY LIVE MUSIC SCHEDULE:

☮️ The Reckoning, the amazing Dead Band with the wild following takes the stage at 7:00. The music is great and the crowd makes it a peak people watching event.

🪩 Also since we lost a couple afternoon hours, we’re taking an extra hour of moonlit magic and staying open til midnight!

🏀 Also there is a Knicks game tomorrow night. If you haven’t been paying attention they’ve been playing fairly well. Last game they had a nice come from behind victory that seemed to really excite those in attendance. Our watch party should be fun.
