Just two blocks from the French Quarter you will find International House Hotel, New Orleans’ first boutique hotel. Inside the hotel is its Loa Bar. A place known for their signature cocktails and its sultry candlelit setting.

At Loa, our cocktails go beyond the surface. They employ coastal ingredients and stories from the marvelous mosaic of humanity flavoring this city in every way. To add a layer of history at the bar, the cocktails are served in delicate vintage glassware that links to the city’s colorful past with each sip; an extravagant taste of New Orleans.

In LM Pagano’s design, the flickering glow of candlelight “softens not only the features but the defenses.” The ceiling-scape that was hand crafted by Armenian-born lighting-meister Peter Manukyan in his studio adds to the sultry atmosphere.

Mirrors have always had a little trouble in them.

We look into them for the truth and, just as often, for the version of the truth we’d rather believe. They’ve held vanity, superstition, beauty, ghosts. Perhaps that’s why we keep looking.
