Asian Movie Madness Returns to the Parkway Theater! 9/5, 9/12 & 9/18

Asian Movie Madness is a curated film program celebrating wild, thrilling, experimental, and cult-classic Asian cinema.
We will screen Asian Cinema - 3 weeks in a row to get the word out then we will screen Asian Movie Madness one Friday a Month starting in October - so stay tuned.

We will Kick it off with "Train To Busan" (10th Anniversary re-release)
Saturday 9/5 - 9:00pm

Next will be the newly released film, "Colony" by the same director as Train to Busan.

Finally we end September with "Ichi the Killer" (2001)

Takashi Miike’s Ichi the Killer (2001) is typically considered one of the most disturbing films ever made because it pushes violence and psychology to grotesque extremes. It's even banned in Norway, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, outright.

Band Leader and my old guitar teacher passed away 8/10/26
Mark has been playing at the Parkway Theater for many years , we were looking forward to another fun night with Mark and the band and with a lot of his old friends from the McKees Rocks area.
You will be missed!

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark E. Antonich, 70, of Allison Park. Mark was a loving father and extraordinary guitarist. Mark attended the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University and the Guitar Institute of Technology. He was a proud alumni of Sto - Rox High School and enjoyed gathering friends every year for an unofficial class reunion and poker games.

He was a well known and respected teacher on the private, elementary school, and collegiate levels. Mark was a featured solo guitarist on numerous venues, appeared in many duo and trios, and played with many bands throughout the Pittsburgh region. He played in many high school musicals, appeared on radio talk shows, played for Tony and Tina’s Wedding show and spent many nights performing at the Prima Donna Restaurant in McKees Rocks. His love of guitar and music started as a child and spanned throughout his life.

In February 2023, an Eurasian Eagle-Owl named Flaco escapes from the Central Park Zoo and sets off on a magical odyssey through the island of Manhattan. Flaco answers the call of the wild – and discovers he was wild inside all along.
WILD INSIDE is an underdog story of resilience and self determination as Flaco the Owl beats the odds and accomplishes the impossible. Flaco busts out of his cage barely able to fly, but he adapts, he explores and eventually – it seems – he goes far beyond mere survival, becoming an internationally known icon of freedom, hooting from the highest water towers. He claims all of New York City as his wild kingdom.
