Adoption #120: Dorothy!! I know this is gonna break some hearts, but sweet (and very popular) Dorothy went to her forever home today! This little docile babe was a fan favorite here at WW. Her calm demeanor and sweet face captured the hearts of many, including her new parents. They waited patiently until Dorothy was big enough to go home (she was very underweight and I wanted to make sure she was good before sending her home). Dorothy is going home to a new big sister! We will miss you babygirl!!

Today was heartbreaking 💔💔💔

I took Vaughn to the vet to get blood work because I honestly didn't think he was even in the condition to go under anesthesia for a neuter. His body condition was so poor, one of the worst kitties I've ever rescued. My fears were confirmed, as the vet let me know that he was in severe kidney failure. His kidney levels were over 4X what they should be. Both kidneys were failing, and no matter what we tried to do, his prognosis was extremely poor.

I had to make the difficult decision to let him go peacefully, as he had suffered so much already and I didn't want him to feel any more pain. Sweet Vaughn, I only had you for 6 days, but you touched my heart so deeply. It's hard to even write this, I just wish more than anything I could have gotten to you sooner. The moment I opened that basement door and saw your sweet face, I loved you. You deserved SO MUCH MORE than what you got. I'm so sorry that humans failed you. I wish I could have given you the life you deserved, but instead, all I could give you was 6 days of love and compassion.

I can't imagine what some of these animals go through, it truly breaks me over and over again to see such neglect. I know I'm just one person and I can't save them all, but damn does it hurt. I will miss your sweet eyes and your kind heart, Vaughn.

Adoption #119: Chloe!!!! This pretty girl was caught during a big trapping project by . It was easy to see that this girl was NOT feral, and was most likely abandoned by her human. I took her into WW so that Chloe could have a chance at a real life. When her new daddy met her, he instantly fell in love!! Today she went home where she will have the best life ever!
