HILLBILLY’S NAMED AN OFFICIAL PCSDRA ASSOCIATION DANCE HALL
A New Home for PCSDRA in the Rio Grande Valley
The Professional Cowboy Social Dance Rodeo Association is proud to announce its partnership with Hillbilly’s in McAllen, Texas, as an Official PCSDRA Association Dance Hall serving the Rio Grande Valley District.
This is much more than a single workshop or qualifying event. This partnership establishes a home for PCSDRA activity in the Rio Grande Valley and creates a local pathway for dancers throughout South Texas to train, qualify and become part of the PCSDRA Dance Rodeo community.
For dancers across McAllen, Mission, Edinburg, Pharr, Weslaco, Harlingen, Brownsville and the surrounding Rio Grande Valley, this is a tremendous opportunity. The talent and Western dance culture are already here. Now dancers will have an Official PCSDRA Association Dance Hall where that talent can be developed through instruction, training, qualification and participation in the PCSDRA system.
The partnership between Hillbilly’s and PCSDRA represents exactly how we want Western dance to grow. Strong local dance halls working with strong local dancers can build strong PCSDRA Districts. The Rio Grande Valley now has an opportunity to develop its own competitors, build its own dance community and send dancers forward to represent South Texas throughout the PCSDRA Dance Rodeo Circuit.
And it starts Sunday, September 6.
The day begins with a PCSDRA Workshop from 1:00 to 2:30 PM, followed by Q&A and preparation from 2:30 to 3:00 PM. From 3:00 to 6:00 PM, dancers will have the opportunity to participate in PCSDRA qualifying events.
FOUR SONGS. THREE DANCES. FOUR CHANCES.
Whether you want to become a stronger Western social dancer, earn your PCSDRA permit, prepare for Dance Rodeo competition or eventually represent the Rio Grande Valley PCSDRA District, this is an opportunity to get involved from the beginning.
An Association Dance Hall gives a district more than a place to hold an event. It gives dancers a home. A place to learn. A place to train. A place to qualify. And a foundation from which a competitive Western dance community can grow.
PCSDRA is excited about what this partnership with Hillbilly’s can mean for the Rio Grande Valley and for Western dance throughout South Texas.
