Limber up those limbs: the sun is out and it’s time to JAM!! 🌞

For our May installment we’re elated to welcome a rapidly rising star in Chicago’s club circuit ! Making a name in a busy city of dance music is no easy task but her deep reverence for club culture and cunty bravado has caught the attention of dancefloors, listeners, and parties around the Midwest and we had to have her our for a dance! 👠

Expect a feral, genre-blending set of tribal and tech-y house and rave energies and keep an eye and ear out as she continues a sensational rise as club technician and dancefloor curator ✨

On opening duties we have a special sendoff set from JAMS co-founder (making his westward journey this summer) and our original partyboy architect .language.processing ! This warm up set is guaranteed to be as silly as it is sentimental and we can’t wait to see what sizzling surprises the boys have in store for the floor. Come early and stay late! 🪩

For our march party we welcome from the twin cities: Alexis has been tearing up the many great MPLS parties and festivals and we can’t wait to have her share her talents with us :)

On warm up duties we have some special programming - a vinyl warmup from the budding talent of to start the night followed by a massive b2b from JAMS’ very own residents .mp3 and Kitty Spit.

Round 2 JAMS Fam!! We’re here to warm your February up with a steamy collaboration. We saw how you worked the floor in January and we can’t wait to bring that energy again ❤️‍🔥

In the booth we welcome back the beloved Gramaphone don and Queen! king for a special showcase of Chi-town swagger. Michael has been digging deep and devastating dancefloors since the 80s and will show us what it means to get first picks at the finest record store in Chicago! If you haven’t been acquainted with his shows in the city you’re in for a waxy masterclass 🤓

On opening duties we have Wax Appeal founder and long time jams resident sharing the wheels of steel with Cultivate and JAMS resident . McGinnis has been busy juggling shows all over the Midwest and shows no signs of slow down! Home Team likewise has been busy on a production kick with recent releases from Plastik People, Rhythm Vibe, Pogo House, and possibly packing his very own track now pressed for the first time to vinyl! 💿

Wax is for lovers and we can’t wait to share the love with you in a few short weeks at with our friends at bringing that phat extra sound. Thanks to for the fire flyer 🫟

Come hang with friends old and new at Gibs on Sat 1/24 for a proper hazy JAMS takeover! On decks we’ll feature residents DJ Zip Disk and Dreamgirl along side Zenith for a proper b3b all you can drink, wonky tech-y wizardry.

We have been wanting to expand our party to new concepts for a while. Expect maximum vibe and an upstairs filled with world class Resonant sound and minimal lighting 😶‍🌫️

What a night to kick off 2026!! We were pretty certain DJ Heather would blow the lid off but we did not expect y’all to turnout like that!

This second collab between Dreaming and JAMS started as way to build up some hype for what is typically a cold and slow January. Something was different right away on Friday and we found ourselves propping doors, pumping AC, and changing to shorts.

Was it Heather’s sensational DJing? Crazy energetic no-skips music, 3 deck/mixer wizardry, and toying with effects to drive us wild?

Was it the brilliant opening between DH and AZZA that bubbled up from quiet to rowdy spanning all manner of off-kilter house and disco?

Was it the extra thump from Warm n Fuzzies or world class backline from Resonant or the fabulous flyer by Chickscratches?

The truth is much more fun: it was all of us! It was our friendships and the dancing circles and even the people who texted they couldn’t make it. Our community came together after a heavy week in the world and released their cares and made magic together. Any great parties is built on trust and vulnerability that can only come from us spending under the mirror ball together.

We couldn’t be more excited for what the rest of the year holds for all of us and are already awaiting the next time we’ll gather together - see you on a dancefloor soon!

2026 is around the corner and here at JAMS and Dreaming of a Disco we’ve already made our resolution: more time under the mirror ball with you!! 🪩🥳

We are beyond excited to announce our January collaboration party featuring the one and only !

We have been in awe of Heather’s hustle for a long time and hosting her at home is a dream come true! Heather has been delivering and delighting dancefloors for decades and her deep crates are a love letter to the floor and the roots of Chicago house music beneath. Her sets have a raw playful energy and soulful funkiness that transcends descriptions and keeps her in high demand as she continues to whip clubs and festival floors into a frenzy around Chicago and the globe. Toss a sweatband or perhaps a shirt change in your coat because we will be getting a workout from the queen herself! 👑🥵

On warmup duties we’ll have none other than Dreaming of a Disco founder DJ DH paired with JAMS jefe AZZA for a cheeky b2b for your mind, body, and soul. After many years of friendship and DJing together, this duo is sure to bring a perfect mix of house, disco, and silliness to the spot 🤪🫶

We’re also tickled to welcome back the Warm and Fuzzy sound system for some extra thump right where you need it most! 🔊🥰

What a party!! 🥳

Massive thanks to our DJs for delicious deep drivers that hypnotized our dancers alllll night and our incendiary openers , and for turning the floor into a sauna in no time flat 🔥

Our blessed evening showered us with an abundance of white snow, warm wax, l***y grooves, and an impromptu Warm n Fuzzy deploy for a just little extra thump - we all left home smiling ear to ear 🙃

Honestly the perfect close to an insane year of change and growth here at JAMS and and we always want to start by saying thank YOU to our dancers. Each of you are JAMS and the medicine only works when we’re all sweating in that room together 💗

Let’s round out 2025 in proper fashion by welcoming Dain and Andrés of to party with us under the JAMS discoball! These longtime friends forged their 18 years of musical experience through DIY quarantine livestreams and have grown into established resident DJs with appearances at esteemed clubs in Chicago and around the globe!

Behind the decks, this dynamic duo fuses 2 individual diggers into a DJ of one mind - a mind deeply influenced by late 90’s/early 00’s house and tech house, jazz, deep grooves, and punchy, shuffle-y breaks along
the journey. Their friendship, vast crates, and attention to detail fosters an intimate connection to every dancefloor they step foot in and keeps the duo in high demand! Staying busy in Chicago’s local scene is just the beginning as
they start to eye more international touring as the word spreads, come out for a great trip with Buen Viaje!

On opening duties we present our long time resident and wax aficionado McGinnis ( ) pairing with a new B2B buddy, local partyboy & promoter Paul Gordon (). These two are well known for firing up floors in the midwest (and beyond) for some time and we can’t wait to witness the wax they’ll wield for this warmup

Party will start at 10pm shortly following Hot Flash. This will be our last “First Friday” party – in Jan we will collab with Dreaming of a Disco and starting in Feb 2026 we will be moving to First Saturdays! More info to come soon!
