Hello dancers! Just realized that I announced on Monday night but forgot to post on Facebook about the upcoming construction happening at our building! Starting this past Tuesday the only way you can access the parking lot is to go through the entrance on Orange Street. The driveway and Alcove parking is closed off. I'll see you at the studio!

Salsa are coming up in the rotation for the group classes! Join Lisa as she introduces you to this beautiful dance.

Each group class is $15 per person, no registration required! Here's the schedule for the next four months:

April: Mondays at 7pm, absolute beginner salsa (level 1)
May: Mondays at 8pm, beginner salsa (level 2)
June: Thursdays at 7pm, intermediate salsa (level 3)
July: Thursdays at 8pm, intermediate/advanced salsa (level 4)

Call/text Lisa at 860-655-5731 if you have questions or need the building door code.

Hey Monday night dancers!
After a lot of hemming and hawing, I've decided to cancel lessons for this evening (Jan 26th).
I did a little test drive in my home town of Newington to see how the roads were and the results were.... not great. The highway was okay, but some of the side roads were still pretty sketchy. Hartford has announced that schools are closed for another day, which says to me that they need more time clearing the roads.
Stay home if you can, be careful driving otherwise.

Since this was supposed to be the last week of Bachata before it moves on to Thursdays' intermediate classes, I'll be taking a video of the steps and making it available for anyone who wants it. Text me (Lisa) at 860-655-5731 if you're interested in getting a link to the video.

Lost and Found!!
Hello dancers! Lisa here. As some of you might have already seen, Nate and I are giving our studio a deep clean so we can start off the new year nice and fresh.

Over the years we have accumulated quite a bit of lost and found. I'm posting photos of our lost and found items here, and I plan on keeping these items at the studio for the next 3 months. On March 31st I plan to donate all remaining unclaimed items.

Please take a moment to look at the photos and see if any of these items are yours. If you know of anyone who hasn't been in the studio in quite some time and might have left something behind please share this post with them!

If you recognize any of these items as yours, please message me, Lisa Marie Spiro, and I will set the item aside for you to pick up.

Hey dancers! Lisa here! Two things of note: First, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be doing a major overhaul of the website for the rest of this month. Because of this, there are going to be glitches, missing links, and inaccurate information. I appreciate your patience as I try to make the website more streamlined and up to date.
Second, for the Monday and Thursday classes, I have planned out the dance schedule for 2026. I have printed flyers available at the studio, and there's a PDF copy on the home page of the website.

Hello dancers, Lisa here! Last night, I gave my students a heads up that I will be away on vacation next Thursday the 13th.

I am happy to report that Nate is available to fill in for me! So classes are happening as usual next week while I'm away. Happy dancing!
