GIRL TWIRL DANCE LGBT Girl Twirl Dance Connecticut LGBTQ Girl Twirl began in the mid 1980's as a BYOB organized dance at the Eagles Club in Southington hosted by Jesse Meucci.

It was the first women’s' event of its kind. Over 200 women attended. Before long, Girl Twirl continued to grow and debut weekly on Saturdays at BOPPERS, Hartford and then onto THE BAR, Hartford (with Maggie Cassella). Eventually, Girl Twirl found a temporary home over the next three years at CHOICES, Wallingford. From there, Girl Twirl was hosted as a Sunday Tea Dance at AMARANTI'S SEA CLIFF, N

ew Haven and a monthly event at HARBOR PARK, Middletown, during the fall and winter months. During that time, Girl Twirl had spanned more than a decade and established itself as a pioneer in the way of gay women’s' nightlife entertainment. In March 2009, Girl Twirl re-emerged at HARBOR PARK with over 300 women in attendance and is now proud to be back in full swing, every 2nd Saturday of the month at The CHEZ, Hartford…AND BETTER THAN EVER.
