Sub:Culture yearly resident, our good friend, the hometown hero next weekend!

DJ ESP aka Woody McBride

A legendary Bismarck debut, DJ ESP aka Woody McBride has been DJing and producing across the world since the early 90’s, toting Bismarck as his hometown, yet has never played here.

Having toured Europe in 1995, a young band by the name of Daft Punk had opened for him in Paris. The following year, DJ ESP helped book Daft Punk in America for the very first time. Daft Punk has since seen Woody as an inspiration and has featured his music on some of their albums, as well as using sounds inspired from his style. Having pioneered his own 303 sound in the realm of Acid Techno, DJ ESP has been touring the globe, playing shows big and small, supporting his communities throughout every facet of his journey.

Next weekend we bring the legend home to Bismarck for an unforgettable debut with 2 sets!
An 80’s & 90’s throwback rock and dance music set, and a journey through the Acid Techno world ESP has helped cultivate. We are so honored for this one!

1PrettyRicky was an instant favorite of ours when he arrived to share his talent with us! This full circle moment next month is going to be bittersweet, but such an honor!

Come join us for a farewell to wish him the best on his new adventures the he will most certainly champion!

Can I tell you about Sub:Culture and what this moment means to me?

Eon Jolt, DJ Econ and the rest of the Sub:Culture crew were the first people to ever book me for a club gig in Fargo. Before the press features, before WEAREONE grew into what it is, before any of it.

Sub:Culture took a chance on me and put me in front of a room, to play my favorite songs. I never forgot that.

So when I thought about who I wanted on stage with me for The Farewell Cookout, there was no question! Eon Jolt is joining the lineup on June 13th at The Aquarium.

Eon Jolt is a part of Sub:Culture, North Dakota’s premiere electronic music crew. The people who gave me my first shot. Coming back to send me off at the same venue where so much of this story was written.

That is not a booking for me. That is a full-circle moment I will carry with me forever.

Hey All!

We've been excited to 4/4 it up with you this evening, but we've also been keeping an eye on weather to ensure our patrons travel in safe conditions.

Most of the time we are rain or shine, since Fargo has such varying weather. We're used to it.

With that being said we've made the rare decision to cancel tonight's event with the intent of rescheduling in the near future.

With Woody traveling up from Minneapolis and many of our supporters coming from out of town, we felt this would be the safer call for everyone to stay home.

So, grab your favorite blanket, cozy up, and keep an eye out for upcoming announcements for a reschedule!

And, if you need to drive, travel safe. We will see you very soon!
