It’s Pride Month, and Arcana has a confession to make- we’re crazy in love with our neighbors at Rubies.
Love between bars is wildly underreported and underappreciated it, so we’re making it public!
This Saturday, when we are basking in the glow of some delicious live jazz from Trio Factual, we still might be secretly (not so secretly) wondering what Fifi Hifi is up to at Adulting.. Or maybe we’re thinking about the song we might sing to impress our beloved Sky at karaoke on Sunday.
It’s confusing to us sometimes to be a le***an bar, and pine SO so hard for Bruce. We can’t tell you how many times we’ve locked up our doors at midnight and gone racing up the stairs to Rubies for a nightcap, an hour of dancing, and maybe some cute bathroom selfies.
We love the staff and the vibe and the programming- y’all are just the best neighbors a gay could ever have. The tamales are always hot (but the bartenders are even hotter).
This Friday, for instance! Please please, come out and support Skaði for some ambient underground beats at Arcana on Friday from 9-11pm, THEN spiral up the stairs to Rubies for their Pride party with Sad Muse Club. And mark your calendars, because Sad Muse Club will be back at Arcana on July 16th!
