✨ WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE? ✨

Ecstatic Dance is a freeform, conscious movement practice. It’s not a performance or a club, it’s a space designed for you to step out of your outside world, attune to your body, and connect with your being. There are no steps to learn and no "right or wrong" way to move. You just surrender to the music and move how your body wants! 🌀

We structure each event as a complete intentional journey, lasting 3 hours. We begin the evening with a movement workshop to help you warm up the muscles and settle into the space. The music transitions into a dynamic sonic wave inspired by the traditional 5 Rhythms: moving you seamlessly through Flowing (earthy and heavy), Staccato (sharp and rhythmic), Chaos (complete letting go), Lyrical (light and playful), and Stillness (quiet integration). The music waves and builds to a high-energy peak before gently bringing you back down to earth, landing softly into a restorative sound bath. It’s a full-spectrum sensory experience from start to finish.

To keep this space feeling inviting for everyone, Ecstatic Dance Chattanooga follows a few simple, intentional guidelines:
🚫 No alcohol: We swap substances for natural high vibes and herbal beverages.
🤫 No chit-chat on the dance floor: Moving without words makes it so much easier to relax the mind.
📱 No phones or cameras: No pressure, no judgment, total presence.
👣 We dance barefoot: To ground ourselves fully into the space (socks or indoor dance shoes are totally welcome).
🤝 Consent-forward: We respect everyone’s space. A "Yes" to dance together is built on eye contact and a clear connection; looking away or crossing your arms means a polite "No."
🌿 Be mindful: Please, no strong perfumes or intense body odors, and leave pet and children at home (our indoor dances are ages 14+).

Whether you come for the exercise, release, or just to have fun, you are welcome exactly as you are.

I know y'all are itching to see the schedule and have so many questions. Here's the answers 💓

The wait is almost over.... RESONANCE Gathering is officially happening this weekend!!! We have spent months preparing for these two beautiful days on the mountain, and we are ready to welcome everyone to the land! 🙌 The weather is looking gorgeous and we've been crafting some extra special festivities for y'all 🌞

Here is everything you need to know to prepare for our time at 🏕️

🕜 When: Saturday, June 6th (starts at 2:00 PM CST - that means 3:00 PM EST) through Sunday, June 7th (ends at 3:00 PM CST).

📍Where: Fireside Camp + Lodge, Sequatchie TN, 40 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. We’ve reserved the entire campground with access to the fields, forest trails, magical Zen nest and those incredible bluff views.

⛺ What to bring: Plan for a full camping experience. Bring your tent, sleeping gear, comfortable layers for the mountain evenings, sturdy shoes for the trails, and your own refillable water bottle.

🥣 Food: Birds Mill will be on site Saturday and Sunday with delicious and healthy food for us, and he's making a special breakfast in the morning. Vegan and meat options available. Feel free to bring your own meals and snacks as well. Stay tuned for full menu.

🥤 Drink: is bringing Kombucha, Elixirs, and Nitro Cold Brew coffee!! There's also potable water available on site. Stay tuned for full menu.

⭐ The Vibe: This is an alcohol-free space. We are there to move, connect, learn, and enjoy the land together. We're encouraging y'all to get silly, dress up, play, get weird, and be free 🪽

We are SOOOO looking forward to getting out into the fresh mountain ⛰️ air and vibing with everyone on the dance floor!!! This will be one of the only chances to dance in the open air this summer 🥲 so you don't miss out!
