this one goes out to all you light in the attic-type listeners who love to discover unearthed folk gems, because a real life under-recognized singer-songwriter treasure lives here in the northeast right now and you can hear her in person next month. Allysen Callery plays melancholy occult-folk that’s reminiscent of artists like Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, or Vashti Bunyan, or Marissa Nadler… While she tours in the northeast folk scene, her work is moody enough to appropriately share a split EP with German doom metal act Mother Bear. beautiful stuff. opening sets by great musicians and friends of Avalon Noah B Harley and Will Lawrence … tix on sale now
