The Iron Horse Cigar Depot will be closing at 5:00 p.m. today so that we may all attend a memorial service get together to celebrate our very good friend Butchie Jones who we lost last November.

Iron Horse Cigar Depot is proud to be the only Dominican Big Leaguer Cigar Lounge in New York State!

The friendship between Iron Horse owner Roy Brown and DBL founder Francisco Almonte began with a chance meeting at the 2015 PCA trade show in New Orleans. Since then, they have worked together to create several exclusive, affordable premium cigar blends based on feedback from Iron Horse customers and staff.

In 2020, they officially established the DBL Cigar Lounge inside Iron Horse Cigar Depot in Hudson, New York.

Francisco’s cigar-making experience began as a child in the Dominican Republic. He later learned from legendary cigar makers Carlos Fuente and Litto Gomez before creating his own DBL line using premium tobaccos from around the world.

Today, DBL represents more than great ci**rs—it represents friendship, craftsmanship and a shared passion for creating ci**rs our customers truly enjoy.

The Uptown Cigar Club in concert with the Iron Horse Cigar Depot host a Art of the Experience Cigar Breakfast with a panel of guests to discuss the current climate of the cigar industry and the effects it has on cigar manufacturers, cigar shop owners and the customer.

This year the breakfast was held at the Iron Horse Cigar Depot and our esteemed cigar breakfast panelists were:

Thanks to our panelists and thanks to all our guests who showed up for our annual "Art of the Experience" Cigar Breakfast.

Iron Horse Cigar Depot owner Roy Brown posed several thought provoking questions related to the current climate of the cigar industry, how to engage new customers, and our current NYS struggles with a 75% cigar tax and the loss of 8 shops to date.
