Chef Caswell's kitchen at Chalet, on Breckenridge's Main Street, is open Wednesday to Sunday, 4 to 8 PM. From 4 to 6, the snacks are at happy-hour pricing.

Showered, changed, a little warm from the w**e at dinner, and not ready for the hotel room yet. Chalet is the speakeasy at the south end of Main Street in Breckenridge: low lamps, deep green velvet, a carafe on the table and a drink to take slowly. Open until 1 AM, and in no hurry to see you go.
