A cocktail with a presidential pedigree.

Tonight we’re pouring a cocktail fit for an official – the El Presidente – a classic with roots in early 20th-century Havana. Originally created in Cuba and later refined by bartenders including Eddie Woelke and Constantino Ribalaigua, the cocktail became a staple of Havana’s golden age of cocktails.

Our version brings together 5 Island White Rum, 8-Year Dark Rum, House Dry Vermouth Blend, , Maraschino Liqueur, Cream Sherry, Grenadine, Orange Bitters, Long Pepper, Nutmeg, Salt Tincture, and Flamed Orange Oils.

Tomorrow - Sunday, September 27th - we’re diving beyond the base spirit.

Join us from 12pm–2:30pm for Cocktail Co-Stars, an exploration of the lower-ABV and complexly flavored ingredients that have shaped cocktails for centuries.

We’ll move through liqueurs, cordials, amari, bitters, absinthe, vermouth, sherry, port, and more, exploring how each category is made and what makes its flavors distinct.

The experience includes guided tasting, instruction on deductive tasting techniques, two classic cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres to enjoy along the way.

Through a guided tasting flight, you’ll explore the history, production, and defining characteristics of each category while learning how to taste and evaluate them for yourself.⁠
