UNCA Contra Club The UNCA Contra Club will host dances on the UNC Asheville campus throughout the year as well as beginner's level and advanced Contra dance workshops!

Our organization will serve as an inclusive space for dancers of all different experience levels, and will provide opportunities for learning and community building. It will also provide networking opportunities for UNC Asheville to the greater dance community.

A message from David Whiley, organizer for Contrathon:

I am looking for 10-12 young (under 30) contra dancers to plan and manage Contrathon XXII Labor Day Weekend 2017. I hear a plea to get younger dancers involved in staging events. Please send me a PM if YOU would like to be a part of this group. I will supervise but not direct. Need to have this together by end of May.
