TALIPOT FAN (Buddhist Ceremonial Fan)

Used by Buddhist monks during chanting and ceremonial rituals, the talipot fan has long been part of Thai Buddhist tradition.

For Ngan Buat, we collaborated with Thai artist Tapnalin Cobboon, who reinterpreted this ceremonial object using Thai silk.

The piece depicts Hanuman atop a white Singha, carrying a red flag — inspired by the legendary warrior’s courage, resilience, and spirit of victory.

We are not redefining its meaning,
but honouring the hands that continue to shape it.

Before the procession begins, there is the band.

Trae Wong has long been part of Thai celebrations, gatherings, and ordinations.

For Ngan Buat, we spent time with the musicians who continue to keep that sound alive.

We are listening, observing, and taking part in the moments that surround the ceremony.

Our first documentary, we followed the people and rituals behind this tradition through our own perspective.

Tichuca enters its sixth year.

Over the past five years, we’ve welcomed millions of guests from around the world, watched countless sunsets, and seen this rooftop become part of so many people’s journeys through Bangkok.

As we begin our next chapter, we’ll be taking a short pause to renovate our home.

Our last day of service will be 30 June.

We’ll be closed throughout July and will reopen on 1 August.

See you in August.

“Whatever” means anything. I want to do anything that can grow beyond just being on a person’s body. It shows identity who you want to be, who you are. It’s another form of art. It depends on how people see it and how they understand it.

I want to take tattoo art further. I want to see how far it can go into any industry, anything at all. Whatever is possible, I want to try it all. I want to explore everything. I feel like it’s possible anything is possible.

“ We all come from different places, and we have our own paths. At first, it feels like we have nothing in common.

But in the end, we still find our way back to each other.

We become a group of people who meet because we share the same feeling.

That feeling is music.

We don’t come together because we are the best, but because we believe going together can take us further than going alone.

And maybe… what we are doing now will slowly grow into a small DJ scene in Chiang Mai, the way we want it to be. “
