Future DFlat
It is good to be back in Auckland, BUT I have missed the live music and dancing to live music, not much going on, on the South Island.
It is nearly unbelievable that Sue and I are still involved in the Hall after 18 years and still entertaining you three DFlat Fridays a month.
We hope, like us, you think that the DFlat Hall is special
We have been able to have successful nights with members volunteering often. But we are still asking for help to cover the door.
If you want to become involved. What is involved: collect the cover charge and sell the $50 raffle 7-9 pm, you don’t pay that night and still have two hours dancing left and a free drink if you want one.
We hope, we don’t have to reduce our social nights in DFlat in future.
We have booked bands for the next three months, three Friday nights organised by DFlat Hall Committee.
Also, we will take over New Years Eve from the Stetson Club and we have decided: A Boogie Night Free Entry with a plate for shared supper, without a plate $ 10 ( bands are too expensive NYE)
OUR AWNING PROJECT With the support of North Harbour Rockers, Hibiscus Coast Rock & Roll Club and generous members and a Grant of the Local Trust we can announce that the project will go ahead. We have some fundraising events planned before the end of the year.
We will also organise a few working bees to keep the Hall well maintained in the coming months.
