Mackem Community Launch event! 🚀

Just 2 weeks to go until to the launch of our 'Mackem Community' events at City Hall on September 8th in partnership with Knight Frank Promise, Atlas Cleaning & Sunderland City Council sponsored by Karbon Homes & Hayes hygiene 🏢✨

We are promoting the idea of ‘Active Citizenship’ which is encouraging residents to engage with services to may be able to support them as well as making it easier for the community to help others!

It’s a fantastic opportunity to have access to all these wonderful organisations at the same time whether you’re in need of help or want to get involved and give something back!

Additionally, we will also be offering donated toiletries and clothing on the day alongside free refreshments to support the well-being of our community who are facing challenges. 👚👖🧴

It would be great to have as many people there as possible whether you're able to just pop by for a coffee and find out a little more about the great services available and work being done within the city.

We hope the event makes a difference to the lives of local residents by providing the essentials and helping to connect them with trusted partners.

Any donations of clothing, non-perishable food or toiletries are welcome and can be dropped off at The Beam, Sunderland (next door to City Hall) If you're able to share event information with anyone who it would benefit, it would be appreciated. 💙

💙 Free entry – Everyone welcome

The Mackem Community Launch Event will take place on Tuesday 8 September from 10am to 3pm at City Hall, Sunderland offering a free and welcoming space for local residents to connect, access support and meet organisations working across the city. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy free refreshments, receive donated clothing and toiletries and speak with partner organisations providing guidance, and signposting services.

We’re delighted to confirm attendance from Disability North, Sunderland Foodbank, The Community Shop, Age UK Sunderland and Sunderland Mind, Andy’s Man Club, Sunderland carers centre, Addictions North East & Sunderland Learning, skills & employability service!

This launch has been generously supported Karbon Homes and supported by Morrisons Seaburn, Hebburn Helps, Ringtone Riches, and Greggs Café Sunderland, whose donations help us offer practical support to residents.
