Great work at the rehearsal today. Half the band here preparing for concerts tomorrow at Brunei Gallery, SOAS, and Friday for British Forum of Ethnomusicology annual conference.

A glimpse here of director Peter working with Kalia Lyraki, ready for next tuesday’s Third Orchestra at Club Inégales - including guest Christophe Fellay, Swiss percussion/electronics.
He and Kalia met on a train last year by chance, spoke for 10’ and then were writing together six weeks later. Kalia brings a wonderful Greek sensibility to lyrics to song lines, and is a striking nay flute player.
Gigs at Club Inégales next week tuesday and wednesday 18th and 19th. On the 19th Christophe will be sampling and remixing from all 95 past club gigs! With Peter joining on keyboards.

An epic collaboration by soprano Heloise Werner, cellist Colin Alexander, fretless bass and tablas Shri Sriram and percussionist Beibei Wang.

An eclectic and diverse programme of semi-improvised music - featuring original pieces from these award-winning composers & instrumentalists.

Hear from one of the pioneers of the Asian underground scene - Shri Sriram , playing brand new music from his upcoming album Colin Alexander will present his resonant and hypnotic 3rd cello suite 'Out of the Mist', Héloïse Werner is bringing new, haunting works for voice & cello and expect percussive dynamism & flair from Beibei Wang.
