KOKO - 3 hard trance DJ's needed to join our 3 established Dj's already confirmed for the upstairs room. This is not open to previous competition winners.

Slight change of plan on how to enter!!

HOW TO ENTER:

Record a 60 minute set of hard trance or the newer harder sound that is popular in Europe right now.

We're not looking for legacy hard house or hard dance but rather newer sounds.

Post your mix on either your soundcloud or mixcloud using the flyer we've posted in this post and get sharing.

Post your mix in the comments below so (obviously better to do sooner rather than later!!) so others can see and check out your mix. Also please send your link to [email protected] and feel free to post on music groups etc.

The team will then select 3 winners based on a combination of plays on the streaming platforms and our personal choices, and will get a small DJ fee!

DJ Sean Scanlan is a respected UK house and disco DJ, producer, and vinyl enthusiast whose career spans back to the late 1990s. Emerging from the underground club scene as a teenager, he built a reputation for soulful, high-quality selections rooted in classic disco, funk, and house traditions, eventually becoming a familiar name across both UK and international dance floors.

Early Career & Club Scene:
Scanlan began DJing in the late ’90s, quickly earning recognition for his musical knowledge and DJ sets. Over the years, he has played and collaborated with major club brands and events including Hed Kandi, Fierce Angel, Discopolis, Love Sensation and Rulin - Ministry of Sound, placing him firmly within the UK’s premium house music circuit.
His style draws heavily from disco heritage and soulful house, influenced by leading figures such as Dave Lee, DJ Meme, and Michael Gray. This foundation has shaped his identity as a DJ who bridges classic club culture with modern production. In addition to club performances, he has hosted a weekly radio show on Radio One Mallorca, further extending his reach to an international audience.

Production & Releases:
As a producer, Sean Scanlan is known for crafting authentic house and disco records using live instrumentation including strings, brass, bass, and percussion rather than relying solely on digital production.
He is closely associated with the label Midnight Riot Records & Do It Anyway Records, where he has contributed numerous releases and collaborations. His discography includes standout tracks and appearances such as:
