Tomorrow we’ll be back in The Garden at The Pop Inn for our first Garden Party of the summer as we continue our 10th anniversary celebrations. Tomorrow is residents only — no planned set times, no egos, just the 4 of us doing what we do best and expressing our own styles properly, as well as the mad b2b2b2b’s that make these parties so special.
Unfortunately, it looks like the last of the good weather has passed us by after it was forecast to be so good… BUT is that going to stop the party? Absolutely not.
We’re assessing things by the second, but as most of you will know, after the one time we had a massive downpour we invested in a big marquee — and if we need to get that up tomorrow to cover the area, we will.
There will be a few slight changes to the usual set-up. The outside bar won’t be in operation, so everyone will need to use the inside bar throughout the day. There will be card machines available, so there’s no need for the usual dash to the bank, but we’d urge anyone who can bring cash to do so as it will help speed things up at the bar.
There will also be no food served tomorrow, so the staff can be fully focused on keeping you all refreshed, with drink promotions in place to help ease the cost of an all-day session.
Other than that, the usual rules apply. The Garden will run from 2pm until 8pm, with last entry at 4pm, but as always, if you’ve got something on and will struggle to make it for 4, let us know and we’ll get you sorted.
We’ll then take things upstairs to the new space, Top Of The Pop which looks absolutely brilliant, to carry the party on until close.
There have been a few tickets popping up on RA Resale, but they’ve been getting snapped up straight away. There’s currently one Garden Party-only ticket available on the event page.
If there’s anyone with a Day/Night ticket who isn’t going to make it upstairs with us, please let us know. We’ve had loads of people asking to get upstairs, but we need to stick to the capacity. Even if it’s on the day and you’ve simply had too good a time in the garden, don’t leave without letting us know so someone else can take the space — and we’ll make sure they get you a drink.
For anyone who has Garden Party only tickets and isn’t ready for leaving at 8pm the downstairs bar will be open as normal until shutting time, if there is any casualties from upstairs and any of the troops are still about down the stairs we will make sure we get you’s up to the party.
As always, look after each other, respect the bar staff and the neighbours but most importantly… dance like nobody’s watching and have a good time.
