A little bit of history 🗝️ Our name comes from Edinburgh’s original luckenbooths - lockable ground-level shops that once lined the High Street from the 15th century. These timber-fronted buildings stood just across from us, marking the beginning of permanent retail in the city and forming one of Old Town’s most distinctive sights.
