This Saturday, May 30th, we’re celebrating our Anniversary Day at The Burn Pit Lounge here in Derry, and we’d love you to be part of it!

From day one, the goal has been simple enough:
👉 Create a safe, welcoming space
👉 Build community
👉 Help people understand medical cannabis and advocate for its progression.

The support from everyone locally, or otherwise means everything 💚

⏰ 11AM – late
📍 Here on 2 London Street, Derry.

What’s happening on the day:
💚 10% off all items (excluding dry herb vapes)
🎁 Giveaway! win a bundle worth ~£42
👉 ^Entry with any purchase over £10^
👉 Winner selected using a random online generator at the end of the day.

🌿 Activities & Sessions:
– “What are Trichomes?” quick talks throughout the day.
– Introduction to terpenes with simple demonstrations
– Open Q&A / “Ask anything” conversations
– First-timer welcome chats
– More on the days as always happens!

🎨 Creative space:
– Floor-to-ceiling chalkboard open for everyone
– Arts & crafts opportunities throughout the day

📸 Socials & photos:
We’ll be capturing some moments from the day for socials — but no pressure at all.

👉 Anyone who doesn’t want to be included can be blurred/removed

🧠 Looking ahead — important date:
On September 10th, there will be a Health Committee Meeting focused on medical cannabis. Planning is already underway behind the scenes.

I am working on organising three speakers to represent patient voices, experiences, and education properly. Alongside that, we’re also looking at logistics for anyone who wants to attend and support at Stormont.

Your support genuinely matters here. Whether that’s showing up, sharing your experience, or simply being part of the community on the day — it all counts.

We’re exploring options like:
– Travelling together as a group from Derry
– Potentially pooling transport
– Or meeting in Belfast and heading up together

All still to be finalised — but it’s something we want to build as a collective effort.

We’ll share more details closer to the time.

Whether you’ve been with us from the start or you’re just curious, you’re more than welcome to call in.

Thought today I would highlight a great resource and something I have found very helpful personally is the PatientsCann UK portal or app. A few times for my own aid I was able to pop on and get the information I required.

I am all for a giant glossary of resources like this and others as the more the merrier, but one of the top for me.
