As someone who appreciates quality drinks, heritage and the stories behind the brands we enjoy, it’s always a pleasure to experience that tradition first-hand and learn more about the craft, passion and expertise that go into brewing.

Brains has been part of Welsh culture for generations, and getting the opportunity to experience more of that heritage was something I genuinely appreciated.

Negroni Week may have passed, but for me, the Negroni has never been about one week of the year.

Many people may not know this, but the Negroni is my go-to cocktail.

After more than 15 years working in hospitality, cocktails and events, I’ve had the privilege of creating, serving and experiencing more drinks than I could ever count.

But somehow, I always come back to the Negroni.

There’s something about it that feels different. The bitterness of Campari, the character of gin and the sweetness of vermouth coming together in perfect balance.

Simple, yet complex. Bold, yet elegant.

And maybe that’s why I connect with it so much.

A great Negroni doesn’t need to shout to make an impression. It simply knows what it is.

For me, it represents the part of hospitality I’ve always loved — the craft, the people, the conversations, the memories and those moments when a drink becomes more than just a drink.

So yes, Negroni Week may be over.

But the Negroni will always have a place at my bar… and in my glass.🥃
